P’tit Olive Oil

TERRIOR

P’tit Olive Oil is a golden, extra virgin organic oil, cultivated with care from our beautiful mature olive trees using biodynamic principles. It is crafted from traditional Provençal olive varieties – Aglandau and Picholine – hand-harvested in November, just before the first frost, in order to preserve their full expression and character.

TASTING NOTES

The robe is a gentle golden-green with reflections of sunlight, offering beautiful depth and intensity. The nose is tender and floral, opening generously with notes of almond, then unfolding into delicate aromas of pear and hazelnut. On the palate, our olive oil is rich and expansive, structured around subtle notes of bright citrus and wild herbs, and a touch of pepper, signs of healthy antioxidants.

OLIVE OIL AND FOOD PAIRING

To truly appreciate this olive oil, there’s nothing better than a fresh salad – just a delicate drizzle to add that unmistakable finishing touch to your dishes. It also pairs beautifully with warm, fresh bread or as a base to prepare vibrant, sun-drenched Mediterranean cuisine.

HOW TO TELL A GOOD QUALITY OLIVE OIL?

P’tit Olive Oil is a perfect example of what to look for in a high-quality olive oil. Organic and crafted biodynamically in the heart of the Luberon, it’s made with care and respect for the land. Look for trusted certifications like AOP, IGP, or organic labels – these guarantee authenticity and adherence to strict standards. Freshness is key: olive oil is best enjoyed within 18 months of harvest, so always check for a harvest or bottling date. Expect a rich green-gold hue, fresh fruity or grassy aromas, and a touch of bitterness or pepper on the finish – signs of healthy antioxidants. P’tit brings it all together in one beautifully balanced bottle.

Olives like grapes come in several different varieties, each contributing unique character to the overall flavour, and like wine, individual preference should be your guide. If you like the taste, it is the right olive oil for you.

WHICH GRADE OF OLIVE OIL IS BEST?

Extra Virgin Olive Oil, like the olive oil from P’tit, is considered the highest grade. There are standards set for extra virgin olive oil that include meeting certain chemistry ranges for quality and purity. The olive oil must past a specific taste test by a qualified panel and must be free of any defects.
